It’s been a slow month in the blogging department, but I thought I’d share a couple of nuggets.
A few weeks ago I was sitting in one of the two stalls in the floor bathroom at work. Of course some jerk comes and sits down in the other stall, interrupting my reading. Anyway, he proceeded to make a lot of noise. There was a huge fart/shit, then another, and then, as he was presumably going for number 3, his cell phone rang, and it was this little musical jingle. The timing was perfect, as it sounded like he was farting ring tones. I had to stifle the laughter on that one.
As you know, there is always some kind of nocturnal eating going on at the Conman’s abode. About a week ago, early one evening after work, the Mrs. came home and fell asleep on the couch. I was sitting in the spare bedroom, surfing the Internet, when I saw the Mrs. march by. Based upon the manner in which she walked, I had a hunch she was in one of her sleep trances that occur when she’s really tired. I had recently complained that she had been eating all of the chips in the house, then putting the bag back in the cabinet. She had denied this. I knew that I had placed a small bag of chips in the same cabinet the day before, so acting on a hunch, I went and grabbed the camera. I was able to snap off multiple pictures of the Mrs. opening the cabinet, seeing that the chips were on the top shelf, climbing up on the counter so that she could reach the chips, securing the chips, opening the bag as she walked back to the couch in the living room, stuffing the chips in her mouth, eyes wide open and glazed over. I then took the chips away from her, which elicited a growl and menacing look, then dangled the bag of chips in front of the camera and snapped away as she desperately lunged at the bag, trying to secure it. Two minutes later I woke the Mrs. up, showed her the pictures, and she had no recollection of the entire episode. We are one f’d up couple, let me tell you. And no, I’m not going to post the pictures. I might show them to you if you ask and say please, although the Mrs. has vowed to delete them from the camera . . .
