The above line is something we used to say in high school. It reflected many of our hometown inhabitants’ French-Canadien ancestry and apparent inability to pronounce the letter “T”. “This” became “dis”, “that” became “dat”, “these” became “dese” and “those” became “dose”. Hence, dis, dat, dese, and dose. It’s still fun to say.
