The worst class I took in college was called “Eighteenth Century British Novels”. Someone told me it wasn’t a bad class, and I convinced a roommate, also an English major, to take [...] Unfortunately, as you know, our good friend’s father passed away yesterday. It is very very sad and I really feel for G and his family. I’m sure we’ll all keep them in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Phil Rizzuto died today at age 89. I recall him being a brutal announcer (in terms of being able to see what was actually going on on the field- I don’t know how many times he said a ball was gone that was a routine fly out) when I was listening to him on the WPIX broadcasts [...] Well the wedding madness is over. A seventeen month engagement. A lot of planning and a lot of money that you can’t help but think, as the process moves along and you’re counting pennies, might not be worth it.
